The short answer is yes, and despite what the pious say, they do just like the immoral heathen atheists do. This video by Discern4 tackles this topic with an even handedness that, by standards of this blog, puts it firmly into the mild category of religious criticism. I guess one needs to take a break from slam dunking religion every once and awhile.

How is this mild criticism? If you count only the words he said, perhaps. If you count what is implied, it’s pretty caustic.
The implied speech here is that religion has been fucking up the minds of people regarding sex for 2000 years. Not because their book is confusing, but just because they want to.
Think about it, a biblical man with three wives is going to be spiritually unclean pretty much every day of the week. The authors of the bible didn’t think things through very well.
Like Godwin’s law, if you talk about the Christian bible it is inevitiable that you will in some way highlight the stupidity of that religion.

@MAL
Mild criticism in the vein that the topic sentence is not bluntly stating how religion poisons everything it touches and here is the putrid aspect I would like to investigate. Thus I agree with your analysis, but for this blog where scathing anti-religious polemics are quite frequent, this post is a much more soothing emollient anti-religious tonic. :)
