We are moving toward this sort of frank discussion when it comes to the religion of gender identity. The days when we have a gender atheist the caliber of Richard Dawkins will not be here too soon.

And gender identity – as part of the entire ‘woke’ movement – IS equivalent to an intolerant religious belief. Just look at the intolerance of ‘blasphemy’ that questions this ideology. The criticism is left at the door while the moral character of the person daring to question the ‘faith’ is found not just wanting but considered depraved.
All of this regressive movement is based on belief that groups are real – gender, race, class, political allegiance, and so on – and individuals these contain are either victims or victimizers, good or bad, woke or unwoke.
So yes, we need non believers in particular to recognize the same apologetic tactics and excuses and intolerance they themselves have experienced by the religious and, yes, the necessary bigotry of its supporters. And the prime way to recognize a believer is seeing those who believe in narrative over what’s true. THAT is what makes a believer. And it is reversible.

That politician’s dodge about people forming their own views (when he was merely being asked to state his own) is pathetic. Would he be equally supportive of all views being valid about whether or not North America is eight yards wide?
The demand for respect for opposing views is equally pathetic. A religio-ideology that glorifies genocide, legitimizes slavery, and put people to death for homosexuality is not worthy of any respect, and it’s outrageous to ask me to respect it.
Dawkins has, of course, been critical of trans ideology in several contexts.
