Religion makes people do horrible things. Today we look at religion making people do horribly funny and obtuse contortions to history and biology. This abuse of fact, reason and common sense is sponsored by and completely underwritten by the nonsense you can find in the bible. However, it must be noted that this is the first time that I have seen biblical evidence for Dragons (awesome)!!
This Friday’s interlude is a bit different only because I can say that I’ve also sung what you are about to watch. The Scene of the Drunken poet is not only comedic, but musically interesting as well. Listen in the chorus parts while the sopranos, alto’s, tenor’s and basses play with the melody line in quick succession. Let me assure you, it takes a fair amount of practice to get your notes to fall in the right places. :)
Watching stupid people do and say stupid things in Texas. Admittedly, low hanging fruit, but great fodder for low blogging weeks. :)
Returning from vacation is always a pain, as routines need to be reestablished and new ones laid down. The time I usually spend blogging was not available as I was doing the 12 hour drive from Kaslo back to Edmonton. So, now we are catching up slowly with a few word-light/video-heavy posts.
The PI institute does a good job of laying down some basic cosmological questions and explanations. Dark matter (and energy, not mentioned) is a fascinating topic and leads to much speculation about how and why the universe is the way it is.
