Let us establish something right here, right now and forever. Whenever a women says in public they’ve been raped they are taking a huge chance. The patriarchal fuckwittery that surrounds women speaking up against those that have violated them is sickening. It is not her fault for what happened to her, it does not matter what happened before, what she was wearing, where she was walking, how she was walking as soon as she expresses “do NOT want” it is all on the other person to immediately STOP. End of line, end of story, end of fracking everything – human beings with a conscience and awareness of others do stop, rapists don’t. The problem is you can’t tell which is which.
1 in 4 women will be sexually abused in their lifetime. Go to any social situation and you will be looking at survivors of rape and abuse. Oh and why is the incidence so high? Shouldn’t women go to the authorities if it was a “serious problem?”
Oh, because going to the authorities isn’t very fucking effective. Smack you with a clue by four, twice for good measure if you were thinking of going down that route. So going public means (adding on top of the emotional damage already done, you know from being forcibly violated) being shamed, blamed and shunned by your social circle and society and most likely there will be no consequences for Mr.Rapeity-Rape Pants. How about a rousing fuck-you for the people who declare that equality is achieved and we live in a post-feminist age.
What can you do? Rapists are in your circle of friends, you’ve seen them in action as they move with near impunity. Stop providing them with the social acceptance that makes what they do so easy for them. Call them out for being/acting like a creep, and don’t let it go till they leave the premise where they are creeping about. You can’t fix all the patriarchal shite that we have to swim through, but you can clean up the small pool you inhabit.

The red pen of justice is vibrating in anticipation of this particular post. Admittedly, when going into the “Manosphere” it makes it shamefully easy to brandish the RPJ. I again make mention of the insipid nature of the WordPress reader function because it takes me to some really horrible sites on the internet, usually engaging cringe reaction followed by my SIWOTI reaction and then usually, hilarity ensues.

The hilarity this week will be a natty new site called The New Patriarchy – A Gender Manifesto for the Next Generation. (Pro-Tip: If you don’t want your MRA bullshite deconstructed and laid bare to the world don’t use the feminism tag in your post) The title of the blog should have been enough. Red flags! Warning! Warning! Inversion of reality alert! Raise Shields! You know, all that jazz.

But here, gentle reader, is where I ask you to join me in the fun and find your own red pen of justice and post your own response to Mr.DairyKnight and his noble launch into the “manosphere“. Just because you can provide internet links to someone who may have the same opinion as you as “evidence”, does not make you right either[ no, there is no default I win button for linking to sites, but, linking to sites that provide evidence and definitions that support my arguments is how adults argue, cupcake].
My main concern with feminism[as defined by cupcake] is that a growing percentage of sex-starved[oh wow, you went there – so thats what you launch into the “manosphere” is all about; women not being fuck-toilets for your manly seed] beta males[which is code for “I’m a lecherous creeper”] (sex-starved due to women’s abundant sexual choice[certainly not because you’re insinuating that women should be your fuck-toilets] are starting to drop out of society[Really? Taking your balls and going home?] like flies (witness the economy crashing around you[that would be due to the increasingly corporate nature of governance – but hey I could be wrong]) and focussing on ‘hunting’ women for sex[Oh so rather than getting jobs sex starved beta males are setting up the Creepy McPerv-Stalking Society, so they can get all rapey-sexy on the evil women that have emasculated them? What an shining example of pro-social behaviour.] rather than trying to ‘buy’ a woman with his ability to earn[WTF? How about treating women like human beings and appealing to them with your good qualities. Of course then you’d have to admit they deserve rights and equality, we certainly can’t have uppity fucktoilets around now can we?] – why else would should[ed. “she”] be with him [Wow its almost like you know what all women want, it totally isn’t like you set up an imaginary straw-woman and argue your woman-hating points against it] when there are an endless supply of stronger alpha males[because human society is completely like a wolf-pack, btw that alpha/beta wolfpack shite is out of date, and is not how wolf society works, but misrepresenting science is the least of your concerns, trust me cupcake.] who she can fuck[What is with all the fucking? Men have found another way of getting laid and it doesn’t involve working long hours just to have some bitch use [It’s nice when MRA’s finally dispense with any sort of subtly and let their irrational hatred stand in the spotlight] and manipulate you[oh you mean being a respectable, ethical, hard-working human being is just right out! ]! This mass exodus of men from the workforce obviously[only to you and the rest of the “manosphere”] has some pretty big implications[more creepy stalkers, wheeeee!] for society and needs to be considered[yes, this argument is considered to be bunk].
As for your comment about my arguments being at odds with reality[the evidence presented would back this particular claim], I suppose that depends on what your perspective of reality looks like[Yeah, empirical reality – facts matter cupcake and you don’t get to play all po-mo relativistic dude] and I’m sure its vastly different from mine[oh you did go all po-mo, full marks for fuckwittery].
Ps. for your own sake and mine, please don’t waste your time replying[Absolutely! The players in the NHL are overpaid. Chasing a rubber disk around a rink should not be multi-millionaire territory. I’m thinking important occupations that improve our society should get the big bucks, you know like doctors, scientists,engineers, educators, social workers et cetera; occupations that make a difference.
My solution to the NHL vs. NHLPA problem?
1. No one makes over a million dollars. Too bad so sad, you’re lucky to be paid for playing a game.
2. Profits from advertising/ticket sales/ concessions are capped at 15%.
3.The excess money goes back into developing the game at the grassroots and making it safer for all those involved. From midget leagues on up, kids would have the best equipment and facilities to practice the great game of hockey. Medical care for injured players and further medical research into common injuries would be fully funded in order to make the game safer and generally make the game better for all those involved.
4. A retirement pension fund would also be established to help players retire/transition to other roles in society.
5. Ticket prices would be reduced to make the game accessible to more people, while keeping the funding structure in place to support points 3 and 4.
The inflated greed that ruins the NHL makes it unwatchable. Wow! overpaid douche one just scored on overpaid douche two, oh the drama of it all.
Bringing hockey back to a reasonable level would be awesome, I’d watch hockey again because then truly it would be Canada’s national sport (kinda like Lacrosse which actually is Canada’s national sport).

I’m not sure if I like the “reader” function that wordpress offers as a part of its blogging platform. Searching the Abortion tag seems to consistently raise my blood pressure because of beastly shite that I find out there. Today’s turd of a post is entitled ‘Tough Choices” and after reading it my tough choice was either to cry or vomit. Luckily I chose option “3” and will employ the red pen of justice and take this privileged anti-choice dude apart.

She is ready to put it all in the past when she realizes something–she’s late on her period. Terrified, she obtains a pregnancy test which confirms her fears. She is pregnant with the child of a rapist’s.
Now, I know some people would say that she needs to have the right to an abortion. Well–and yes, I know this is probably an unpopular opinion–I disagree.”
[Well it is good to establish that you have a firm hatred of women and their bodily autonomy from the outset.] Yes, rape is traumatic.[The faux-empathy begins here]
I can’t even begin to imagine having to go through it [It’s shitty, and you don’t want first hand experience].
However, if a victim of rape realizes she is pregnant, she probably feels scared, alone, and vulnerable. Some women would want to turn to abortion. But abortion is a cold lie [Where the frack does this come from? Abortion is not a lie, it is a medical procedure Is an appendectomy a cold lie too?]. It may seem appealing, like you can magically “undo” all that happened by a simple procedure, but in reality, it is the killing of a child[anti-choice distortion, the first of many – It is not a child, we get a child after the little event called “Birth”. Acorns are not oak trees]. Should a child’s life [*facepalm* – repeating misinformation does not make it more true] be taken just because of the crime the father committed?
Abortion in cases of rape takes a vulnerable, traumatized girl and further disturbs her by killing her child [Like carrying the results of rape for 9 months isn’t traumatizing?]. The results of abortion in cases of rape is one dead child [one terminated pregnancy, FIFY] and one extremely wounded mother [keep in mind the author is talking about a 11 or 12 year child, the term “Mother” is grossly misused].
Which seems more traumatic to you: being raped, becoming pregnant, having the child killed, and having to live with that the rest of your life; or, being raped, becoming pregnant, delivering the child, putting the child up for adoption, and living knowing that your child is alive as well? [you missed the option of suffering though and possibly dying in pregnancy] (though some women choose to keep their children rather than giving them up for adoption, a most admirable move)
Some pro-lifers want an exception for rape[yes, they have something resembling empathy and respect for women]. However, I don’t think there should be one. It may seem heartless at first[because it is], but once you look at the real reasons[fetus worshipping] why abortion shouldn’t be allowed in cases of rape[women should be second class citizens/incubators nothing more], I think you will better understand[We do understand, the hate for women and their autonomy screams from every line of this post].
Some of what I dislike about creationists stems from their basic epistemological premises. For instance the idea that belief in an idea ipso facto makes it correct. The harder you believe in something, the more correct you are. Of course this idea is just one of the pathologically shitty ideas creationists come up with; it gets worse.
Because in their epistemology if you believe something, and their magic book of choice happens to mention it in passing, well then Goddidit and no further explanation is needed. It must nice to be dishonest and lazy when it comes to backing up and relating your ideas to the world. Dear reader, I hear you saying, “But Arbourist, this is a rational humanist blog where is your evidence?” Praise the Four-Cheezes patience, gentle reader the mighty wordpress has come to the rescue.
There is a handy feature in wordpress where you can search tags people make for the content of their posts. The posts I tag with “creationism” are much different much much that appears in that category. Take for instance, this noxious little gem of stupidity which we are going to examine with some detail.
What can we prove?
The truth is that no one can prove evolution or creation. We have the same evidence, but no one alive today was an eye witness to the origins of man, and neither of the claims of the creationist and the evolutionist can be observed today. We can only study the result.
*splat* That was my cerebral cortex recoiling in horror at the level of stupid in this one small quotation (there is more friends, but my little cortex is weeping and is begging for the inanity to stop). The fastest way to make arguing easy for yourself is to dishonestly represent your opponent. This one little paragraph is dishonest and shows an astonishingly brain-dead-shambling-zombie-like grasp of argumentation and rhetoric.

Some 3.6 million papers that mostly conform to the scientific method, are peer reviewed and falsifiable say your version of the facts are the equivalent of the chunder my dog threw up yesterday.

I cannot see the moon orbit around the earth, should we infer that it floats into the sky on unicorn farts and then sinks every night once they dissipate? Usually you cannot see electricity, only its effects – are we to believe it doesn’t exist either or is its more fucking fantastical farting unicorns?
“We can only study the result.” – The only thing being studied by creationists is the depths of their rectal cavities because it is where they get all their fecal-dominated facts from when not busily bloviating about how godidit.
There is no controversy, only the religiously deluded making shit up and trying to pass it off as reasonable. Their arguments are piss-poor and they offer little to no evidence of a theory with more explicative power. Their arguments can sound good, but like polishing a turd for centuries,(the bible being one of the biggest floaters in the bowl), once the varnish is gone, all you are left with is shit.
I like the idea of religion. Faith comforts the mind, providing a solid defense against the existential questions that linger for all of us*. Why not surrender to the warm and fuzzy religious mentality that has all the tough questions answered with a certainty that even the best argumentation could not hope to shake?
Wouldn’t that be nice? Consider the christian get out of jail card…as long as you believe in jebus, you can be as much as an arsehole here on earth as you’d like, and still get to be with the angels when the curtain closes. Merrily murder your way into the big book of genocidal low lights; slaughter till the rivers run red with your dastardly intent, you’ll be fine as long as you believe.
Absolute certainty of anything is an abomination. – I love sounding like the middle-aged Obi-wan from episode 3 as be goes about condemning Anakin for his misdeeds and evil ways. Battering my brain from his tortured speech, “Only Sith speak in absolutes…” Thank you baron von paradox for that lovely chunk of wisdom, your concern is noted. One could read more into the script seeing Obi-wan as flirting with the absolute and the folly of adhering to any particular absolute statement. Do not count on that sort of existential angst and analysis from Lucas, as his idea of good script writing seems to be based on feeding his cats alphabet soup and then flinging their shit into the nearest word-processor.
I digress.
I’m pissed off that believing in a religion is such a shitty bargain. Too much is lost in making deals with imaginary people and following absolute edicts that are oh so kindly translated for us peons so they make sense to us. It is a rigged game, like much of life and it produces only a few winners and many, many, losers. Entering games not rigged by me just is not worth my time.
Stupid religion, I must not be stupid, depressed, stressed, defenseless, gullible, indoctrinated, (insert broken person adjective here) enough to want to embrace your shit-encrusted-ass-peanut of a bargain.
