No so gentle reminder of the reality of the situation.
The recent ruling against Amy Hamm by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) is nothing short of a travesty, a glaring assault on free speech and common sense that should leave any reasonable person fuming. Hamm, a nurse and vocal advocate for women’s sex-based rights, was found guilty of “professional misconduct” in March 2025 for stating biological facts and expressing opinions critical of gender identity ideology. Specifically, the disciplinary panel zeroed in on a handful of her online statements—made while identifying as a nurse—deeming them “discriminatory and derogatory” toward transgender individuals. This isn’t just a punishment for Hamm; it’s a warning shot to every professional in Canada: step out of line with the prevailing ideology, and your career could be next. How dare a regulatory body, meant to ensure competence in healthcare, stretch its tentacles into policing personal beliefs expressed off-duty?
What’s particularly infuriating is the absurdity of the tribunal’s reasoning—or lack thereof. One so-called expert reportedly argued that being a woman is a “social identity category rather than a biological reality,” a statement so detached from science it’s laughable if it weren’t so dangerous. Hamm’s crime? Asserting that biological sex is real and matters, especially when it comes to women’s spaces and rights—a position grounded in observable fact, not hate. Yet, the panel chose to side with ideological fantasy over evidence, slapping Hamm with a guilty verdict for daring to speak her mind. This isn’t about protecting anyone; it’s about control, about silencing dissent under the guise of professionalism. The fact that her extensive Twitter posts, where she didn’t explicitly tie her nurse status, were spared only highlights the flimsy, cherry-picked nature of this witch hunt.
The implications of this ruling are chilling, and that’s putting it mildly. If a nurse can be professionally crucified for advocating for women’s rights and biological truth, what hope is there for free discourse in Canada? The BCCNM’s decision doesn’t just harm Hamm—it erodes the freedom of every regulated professional, from doctors to teachers, who now must tiptoe around controversial issues or risk their livelihoods. This is the kind of dystopian overreach that should spark outrage, not apathy. Hamm’s fight isn’t over—she’s hinted at appeals, potentially up to the Supreme Court—and thank goodness, because someone needs to stand up to this madness. We should all be rooting for her, not because we agree with every word she says, but because the principle at stake is too precious to let slip away without a fight.

Human sex is determined by a complex interplay of genetic, hormonal, and anatomical factors, and extensive scientific research supports the view that it is both immutable and binary—male or female—at the biological level. A foundational study by Jost (1947) established that the presence or absence of the SRY gene on the Y chromosome directs the development of gonadal tissue into testes or ovaries, initiating a cascade of hormonal signals that shape sexual differentiation. This process results in distinct reproductive anatomy and gamete production: testes produce small gametes (sperm) in males, while ovaries produce large gametes (eggs) in females. Research published in Nature Reviews Genetics (2001) by Goodfellow and Lovell-Badge reinforces that this genetic switch is fixed at fertilization, with rare exceptions like intersex conditions (e.g., 0.05–1.7% of births per Sinclair et al., 1990) still aligning with male or female developmental pathways rather than constituting a third sex. Once established, these biological markers—chromosomes, gonads, and gametes—remain constant throughout life, unaffected by social identity or medical intervention.
Further evidence for the immutability and binary nature of sex comes from endocrinology and developmental biology. A 2016 study in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism by Bao and Swaab details how prenatal androgen exposure locks in sexually dimorphic brain structures and physiological traits, such as genitalia, which cannot be fully reversed postnatally. While hormone therapies and surgeries can alter secondary sexual characteristics (e.g., breast development or voice pitch), they do not change the underlying chromosomal or gonadal sex. For instance, a 2020 review in Biology of Sex Differences by Arnold highlights that even in transgender individuals undergoing transition, the production of gametes (or lack thereof post-intervention) remains tied to the original sex, underscoring that biological sex is not malleable at its core. This binary framework is evolutionarily conserved across mammals, as noted in Wilson and Reeder’s Mammal Species of the World (2005), with males and females defined by their roles in sexual reproduction.
Opponents might point to gender identity or intersex conditions as challenges to this binary, but research distinguishes between gender as a social construct and sex as a biological reality. A 2018 paper in Frontiers in Neuroendocrinology by Joel et al. explores brain mosaicism—mixtures of “male” and “female” traits—but concludes it operates within a binary reproductive system, not beyond it. Intersex individuals, often cited as evidence of fluidity, typically have disorders of sex development (DSDs) like Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia or Klinefelter Syndrome, yet these are variations within male or female categories, not a spectrum of sexes (Houk & Lee, 2008, Pediatrics). Overwhelmingly, the scientific consensus—spanning genetics (e.g., Science, 2017, McCarthy et al.), anatomy, and reproductive biology—affirms that human sex is an immutable, binary trait rooted in the objective reality of gamete type and chromosomal inheritance, distinguishing it from the fluidity of gender expression.
Colin Wright goes over the study in that demonstrates that DEI training actually increases divisiveness and strife.
“The NCRI study investigated the psychological effects of DEI pedagogy, specifically training programs that draw heavily from texts like Ibram X. Kendi’s How to Be an Antiracist and Robin DiAngelo’s White Fragility. The findings were unsettling, though perhaps not surprising to longstanding opponents of such programs. Through carefully controlled experiments, the researchers demonstrated that exposure to anti-oppressive (i.e., anti-racist) rhetoric—common in many DEI initiatives—consistently amplified perceptions of bias where none existed. Participants were more likely to see prejudice in neutral scenarios and to support punitive actions against imagined offenders. These effects were not marginal; hostility and punitive tendencies increased by double-digit percentages across multiple measures. Perhaps most troubling, the study revealed a chilling convergence with authoritarian attitudes, suggesting that such training is fostering not empathy, but coercion and control.
The implications of these findings cannot be downplayed. DEI programs have become a fixture in workplaces, schools, and universities across the United States, with a 2023 Pew Research Center report indicating that more than half of U.S. workers have attended some form of DEI training. Institutions collectively spend approximately $8 billion annually on these initiatives, yet the NCRI study underscores how little scrutiny they receive. While proponents of DEI argue that these programs are essential to achieving equity and dismantling systemic oppression, the NCRI’s data suggests that such efforts may actually be deepening divisions and cultivating hostility.”
Who would have thought that focusing on differences and promoting guilt would lead to negative outcomes…?
Children are being harmed because medical practitioners are either ideologically captured or too scared to speak out against the grotesque medical experimentation undertaken in the name of transgender ideology.
The transgender debate revolves around thought terminating clichés being flung at people rather than actual arguments based on facts and evidence. “No debate”, “TWAW”, and of course “you don’t want trans people to exist!” are all meant to emotionally manipulate and coerce people into agreement or at least silence on the the matters of gender affirming care specifically, and transgender health care in general. This is why (trans) activists almost always take this route because the facts (and medical evidence) DO NOT support their position and said evidence often indicates a risk of significant iatrogenic harm for children and adults.
When talking with the gender religious another dodge they will use is puberty blockers are just being used in a small number of cases. Replace ‘puberty blockers’ with lobotomies or thalidomide treatments to see how well this argument holds up…
This tragic medical scandal is what happens when we allow medical decisions to be made on the basis of feelings and activism, as opposed to evidence based medicine.
GAC is being halted in the UK and across Europe – Canada needs to get its head out of the sand and rejoin the medical community that follows evidence based medicine instead of the strictures of transgender activism. Children’s lives are being ruined because of this quackery and it needs to stop.
The article quoted below by Maria Maynes describes the content of the study. Read the full article here.
“A new study has suggested that damage done by puberty blockers is permanent, casting doubt on claims by trans campaigners that the hormone drugs simply “pause” puberty and provide time for children who question their gender.
The preprint study from the Mayo Clinic, a world-renowned leader in medical research, found mild to severe atrophy in the testes and sperm of male children on puberty blockers. The authors of the groundbreaking study have expressed doubt about the “reversibility” of such blockers, a claim made by campaigners who promote the use of the drugs for gender dysphoric children.
Scientists at the world-renowned clinic who carried out the study found that puberty blockers can lead to fertility problems, withering testicles, and even cancer among children who take them. Authors found that puberty blockers hurt the development of testicles and sperm production in ways that cannot be fully reversed, with problems including impacting users’ ability to have children in adulthood.”

“The recently published preprint came ahead of the long-anticipated Cass Review in Britain, released on Wednesday, with the independent review warning that healthcare professionals felt afraid to discuss their views on transgender services for children. The report also found that there was no evidence that puberty blockers or hormone drugs “buy time to think” or reduce the suicide risk in children suffering from gender dysphoria.
The publication of the review by paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass has confirmed the NHS in England’s shift away from the medicalised treatment of children struggling with their gender, to one focused on talk therapy and support.
The Mayo Clinic preprint, although not yet peer-reviewed or published, suggests that some of the effects of puberty blockers on testes and sperm may not be reversible, sparking concern from leading medics.
Prof Ashley Grossman, a University of Oxford endocrinologist, has pointed to the study as proof that there is ‘no good evidence’ showing puberty blockers help children.
The endocrinologist highlighted the study, saying that the drugs are too risky to be given to the “greatly increased” number of adolescents who identify as transgender.
“Routine puberty blocking treatment for this use has not yet been adequately studied, and many of these children may have other problems for which they need help,’ he added, hinting at a growing body of evidence showing gender confused youngsters often have other, underlying mental health issues,” he said, as he pointed to the early data released by the Mayo Clinic in the preprint last month.
The UK last month joined the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland and Norway in a growing list of European nations to have either placed restrictions on or banned medical interventions for gender dysphoric children.”
We need to act now to stop this reckless experimentation on our children.
Case in point:NASA.
NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. This is their mission statement from the NASA website – “NASA explores the unknown in air and space, innovates for the benefit of humanity, and inspires the world through discovery.”
Nasa is spending its resources on making pretty pictures representing questionable ideological movements.

Compare and contrast with the Chinese and European space agencies:
“A European experiment aboard China’s Chang’e 6 mission has recorded previously undetected charged particles on the moon’s surface, a catalog of which enables astronomers to better probe the chemical makeup of the moon’s regolith.
These particles, which are essentially gases excited by sunlight, were detected at the landing spot of the Chang’e-6 spacecraft in the southern pocket of the Apollo crater, which lies within the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the moon’s far side. The ion detector was the first European Space Agency instrument to land on the moon.”
If given a choice between a space sciences body that does ideological posturing and one that does; well… Space Science I know which one I would choose with regards to advancing our knowledge of the cosmos. So let’s work backwards and use the keen example of Toaster-Fucking to illustrate why NASA is spending its time and resources on questionable virtue signals that have exactly zero to do with its stated mandate – conducting space science.
I give full credit to Devon Eriksen on “X” for the TF explanation.
“Some of you may be wondering why the entire bureaucratic caste of the USA is completely obsessed with weird sex stuff.
Sure, we can all have good fun ranting about how insane this cult is, and watching them melt down when we leave skid marks on their sacred icons, but sooner or later, you gotta ask… why.
It’s the toaster-fucker problem. Some of you may be familiar. Goes like this, and I quote:
I blame the internet. Back in the days before it, we had to learn to live with those around us, now you can just go out and find someone as equally stupid as yourself.
I call it the toaster fucker problem. Man wakes up in 1980, tells his friends “I want to fuck a toaster” Friends quite rightly berate and laugh at him, guy deals with it, maybe gets some therapy and goes on a bit better adjusted.
Guy in 2021 tells his friends that he wants to fuck a toaster, gets laughed at, immediately jumps on facebook and finds “Toaster Fucker Support group” where he reads that he’s actually oppressed and he needs to cut out everyone around him and should only listen to his fellow toaster fuckers.
Apply this analogy to literally any insular bubble, it applies as equally to /r/thedonald as it does to the emaciated Che Guevara larpers that cry thinking about ringing their favourite pizza place.
But the toaster fucker problem doesn’t stop there.
Because every social group has an axis of prestige. They have to compete with each other for status somehow. That’s what humans do.
And in the toaster-fucking group, the axis of prestige aligns with fucking toasters.
So first they compete to see who can fuck the most toasters.
Then, when that is saturated, they one up each other by being most open with the general public about their toaster fucking ways.
Then they make toaster-fucker pride t-shirts and hats and bumper stickers.
Then they move on to bragging about how they sneak into other people’s kitchens and fuck their toasters, too, and swap tips for how to introduce kids to the joys of toaster-fucking.
But it doesn’t stop there, either.
Pretty soon normal people, who ten years before would shrugged and said “that’s weird”, are now sick of toaster-fucker flags everywhere and their kids being told to fuck toasters by sickos, and now they’re going to burn every toaster-fucker flag they see, and Florida just passed a law requiring you to be 21 years old with proof of ID to buy a toaster. And Utah has banned toasters altogether and the Mormons have stopped even eating toast, bagels, waffles, or any other heated bread product.
But it doesn’t stop there, either.
Because a few toaster-fuckers get beaten with fence posts by people sick of hearing about toaster-fucking, and other people, who didn’t see or hear the toaster-fuckers’ prior behavior, say “holy shit, toaster fuckers really are oppressed”. And they decide to become “toaster-fucker allies”, despite the fact that they haven’t the slightest real interest in fucking any toasters themselves.
But it doesn’t stop there.
Because toaster-fucking has become a sacred cause, it must now must compete with other sacred causes for the minds of highly programmable non-player characters, and there are clashes in the streets between the Toaster Fucker Pride March and the Stop Raccoon Shaving protests.
This is what “go outside and touch grass” really means. It doesn’t mean that plants magically cure insanity, it means go encounter randomly selected people who have nothing to do with you other than geographic proximity.
The purpose of this is to remember what normal people are like, and what normalcy is.
It’s not that normal people don’t do weird things. Maybe they like their pancakes with ketchup. Maybe they consider midgets to be the height of sex appeal. Maybe they never wash their socks, but just throw them away and buy more instead.
What makes normal people normal is that they keep that shit to themselves when it isn’t relevant.
Like when you’re an institute for space exploration.
Not toaster fucking.
Space exploration.
Remember?
Our institutions need a serious wake up call to help them “remember” what they are supposed to be about.
